Entries for Yackoustic will open around September.
General rules for Yackoustic are:
- Acoustic acts
- Must be aged under 35
- Must be unsigned.
- Must not appear as a regular paid performer at festivals
For the 2011 festival we expected a slow start, but were blown away with the number and quality of the entries. We even had one fly in from Estonia.
The 6 contestants who made the final could all have won. The competition was pretty fierce and the final margin was extremely close. The winners were "Two Girls" being Eliza Venville and Lucy McKenzie McHarg by the narrowist of margins with the decider being the audience engagement by Eliza and Lucy.
