Did you leave something behind at the festival. We have a few items including glasses so if you are missing the odd item then email to folkfestival@yackandandah.com
Also we have a survey running again for a couple of free tickets next year. As well as the chance to win a couple of tickets, this will assist in some or our grants to allow us to put on a festival again in 2014. Follow the link to:
WOW - what a year we had in 2013. The audience loved it, the performers loved and the community loved it.
Many thanks to all of our volunteers as without them there simply would not be a festival, to the performers who were simply sensational and to every one involved including our fans and ticketholders. How to we top 2013? Watch this space for 2014 where we aim to make it better but keep our small intimate feel.
Greening The Festival
The Yackandandah Folk Festival is now in to a third year of focus to reduce waste and to address carbon emissions. This has involved a wide variety of activities by the organising committee and the Yackandandah community. We have adopted a wide variety of initiatives and this includes; a tree planting program, provision of readily accessbile tap water (to replace bottled water), the unique ‘unplugged Saturday night concert’ and now a solar photovoltaic (power) program.
We invite you to be mindful of the impact you have during your visit and it would be great if you bring along your own water bottle so it can be refilled. Don’t forget to fill your car with folks (since it is a folk festival) to ensure your car is as efficient as possible – and you can share the music with even more ‘good mates.’
Volunteers
Our volunteer committee is also hard at it and if any one you would like free or cheap tickets as a swap for some time there is information and an application form both here and on the "Volunteers" and "Apply" pages.

At the same time our ticketing team are working to tidy up our big complaint from last year and that was some challenges with Paypal. This year we are using a ticketing agency, Trybooking, which uses normal credit card purchasing facilities.
Sunday Market
We expect another 100 stalls to be booked for a full house and we are expecting our usual huge variety and huge number of visitors on the Sunday. The Sunday market is a free event and current indications that there will also be more buskers than ever.
Littlies - This will be on again in 2014 in a similar format. This will be at the Sports Park and run from 10.30 until 5.00 on Saturday with all sorts of fun activities expecially designed and run by teachers from our local schools. This however is not a a baby sitting service and littles should havbe a parent with them. Unattended children will be given a double shot of caffine and a free puppy
Our youth have been looked after, but now we are adding a special program for our littlies.
The Street parade on Friday night is up and going, and now there will be special activities over the weekend for our tots and young at heart.
For our younger budding performers
Yackoustic will be back with another $500 of prize money, and The Shed will be at it again over the whole week end.
