THE SHED: CREW
The SHED venue is our alternative music venue. Historically it has attracted a younger audience although all ages are welcome. The Shed is unticketed and free to the public and has a focus on participation by young and emerging performers and volunteers.
This year, the Yackandandah Folk Festival Committee are calling on creative young people to be a part of The SHED CREW. We are looking for MCs, stage crew, sound crew, artists and designers to make signs, decorations and artwork for the décor, foodies to run a canteen with chips and ice cream, and folk to set up the comfy couches to create the vibe for The SHED. If experience in this stuff is new to you but you are super keen to learn, The SHED is a great place to develop these skills .
There will be opportunities to gain confidence and take leadership in areas that interest you, practice teamwork and meet other like-minded people including some great musicians.
The Shed will be located in High St opposite The Top Pub in Toms's Shed and is a free venue all week end.
Please complete the Crew Form and return to folkfestival@yackandandah.com.
THE SHED: PERFORMERS
The Shed venue is our alternative music venue. Historically it has attracted a younger audience although all ages are welcome. The Shed is unticketed and free to the public and has a focus on participation by young and emerging performers and volunteers.
Applicants don’t need to have a lot of experience, just some fresh material and a good attitude. Yack would like to support up and coming artists to gain confidence and experience at performing. If up until now you have kept your music within the four walls of your bedroom, this is the chance to make a début.
An open mic session will also be running throughout the weekend for anyone who’s willing to give it a shot on the stage!
Please completethe Performers Form and return to folkfestival@yackandandah.com.
