The chamber of commerce have again joined in to organise the street party this year and again there will be a street party running from the bottom pub right up past the top pub to the Memorial Gardens (Hooray, Hooray). The main street will be closed off to all motorised traffic and a huge variety of wonderful activities will be available.
Festivities start at 5.00pm and the kids will have their own parade from 6.00pm up and down the main street. Live music under the verandah of Rainbow Crystal with some surprise guest artisits this year.
Last year we hada treasure hunt, kids workshops, spinning wheel, games and races for kids and adults. Good fun family entertainment for all. Did we say that most of this is free. This year final details will be available shortly.
Our aim is to provide a night of fun and activities that will last into the night and not just make a lot of noise and merriment, have a quick parade then it is all over. There will be plenty of fun activities running from 5.00 right through to 9.30.
